  • Europa ESU on Wednesdays, 19:30 – 21:30

We support and guide the Explorers in designing their programme and actively encourage them to run evenings for both their Unit and other Scouting sections within the group.

Learning #SkillsForLife like Car maintenance, Cooking, First Aid, fundraising as well as outdoor skills and activities like Camping, Climbing and Water Sports. There is wider scope for activities and their level, like international expeditions, caving in Somerset and mountain walking in Wales. Explorers are encouraged to learn the skills to enable them to go out and take on activities on their own.

Our programme supports DofE and Chief Scout Awards, with opportunities to join the Young Leaders’ Scheme, where young people are able to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections. All these work towards the final goal of becoming a Queen Scout.

If you would like to join us, or you’ve got an interest in helping us out then please get in touch  we’d love to hear from you!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
